The old place was full of charecters full of funny lads hurling abuse at the oppo wingmen my favorite was that bloke who looked like rodney off ofah (gary think his name was) esp remember a young eddie riddlesdon getting it for a full 40 "who on ya head said who on ya heads! GENIUS

then there was the guy who looked like the missing Chuckle Brother, wandered up and down behind the dugout telling the opposition subs to sit down, move etc for the entire game!

Couple of incidents which i fondly remember, but do not condone

1. A banana being thrown at Martin Offiah who picked it up and took a bute and threw it back. I thought that was brilliant at the time as he could have kicked up a fuss about it.

2. also, when we had lloyd in charge the tennis balls being thrown onto the pitch! there was also the england internation that was being played there, and the two lads went on the pitch with the banner "were black, were white, we'll never merge with sh*te on it"

I remember mcnamara passing to that side of the pitch, and i always believed that he did that so the cameras saw the banner!!

the tennis ball incident was funny,i rember some one asked the stewards for them back but they was having none of it
thought chanting BEEF BEEF BEEF at french was class it was at the time when they had banned brithish beef

Another time involving him that was funny during a pitch invasion at keithley he spotted the press man clicking away with his camera so he chased him got the camera n jumped on it under the sticks! Lol happy days!
