| Sacked by NZ Warriors. Would you have him as new head coach?

| His club coaching record is not impressive however he won the World Cup and Four Nations as head coach of the Kiwis.
I guess the postives are that he is available and he has affinity with the club and would not have any issues settling in the area. I'd prefer Craig Fitzgibbon who ironically may even replace Kearney at the Warriors.
I still think that (unfortunately) we will stick with Last at least until the end of the season and possibly beyond.

And when and if we eventually do resume, possibly with no fans watching, playing on so called neutral grounds, a truncated season, etc etc, the eventual winners and losers in CV19 season will probably be looked at differently than a normal season, so can’t see any change of coach for the foreseeable. What a complete disaster this virus has left us.

| Not in a position to go overseas. Lasty until end of season at least.
Would love Fitzgibbon, and think pre covid we’d have had a chance.
Lastys job to lose as next season won’t be any easier financially.

That's the position as Smailes and Jackson see it based on conversations with the club. No focus on recruitment now either. Club will be seriously hoping fans don't ask for season pass refunds.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

Why, are you hoping to follow LR out there?

| No not for me, class and great as a player but not seemingly the case with his coaching record. Great players do not always levitate to being great coaches fact is many so often fail.
Last & Purtill both have something to prove and I do feel that they deserve a shot for this season. It did seem that Radford had control over every aspect and this may well have been his ultimate downfall by not allowing others freedom to do the role they are employed.

The second paragraph are my thoughts too but as I said earlier I would still take Kearney.

On what basis would you take Kearney over Fitzgibbon or Last, or a return for John Kear or , as an outside,Brian Smith?
