| We can all see the forwards are poor, infact we could all see this before the season started, Green and Bowden to come back in but both havent played for ages and even if they get back up to top form quickly they still arnt top drawer anyway. And in Greens case he'll probably get injured quickly anyway because, well he always is so this is it as this pack simply, Taylor aside, is not good enough.
One way this club could give itself a massive lift is for us to sign a Marquee front rower! I know you'll say who but im sure there's an aussie Liam Watts or another Mitch Garbutt out there struggling to get a game who could lift this club, lift the pack, lift the team and lift the supporters and help get rid of the big black cloud thats currently hanging over the club. If we are full on the quota then release somebody like Talanoa or Mini to make way - desperate times call for desperate measures as if we dont then were gonna meander along like we are for the rest of the season when Radford will get sacked/not renewed and Pearson will likely entice a new coach with the offer of being able to use a marquee anyway - the way i see it is this is Radfords last roll of the dice - to do nothing simply signs his own death warrant.

| That would be great, except that there is no way we have the cap space to do that, and you can't just "release" guys mid season unless they have another club to go to.

| What if we sign this phantom front rower and he breaks his leg first game?
Do you have a plan B, gaffer?

| Doesn't so much of the marquee players wage count on the cap anyway?

| I’m intrigued
We keep seeing the message we’re upto cap, after releasing watts, Fonua, Ellis which is a good chunk of cap and replacing with paea and faramino as well as Hadley coming back my question is who is the cap being spent on, and if are they justifying their wage.
We’ve had two challenge cup final wins, as well as the Aussie trip , anybody care to guess how much we made off those, combined with the good season pass sales and fifteen shirts a season sales, surely we have some cash? If not why not?
If we’re upto cap I think we’ve mismanaged it a tad
Time to review who the high earners are, and if they ain’t cutting it, let’s release them and get some big signings in

I heard Radford on Humberside before the season started saying you had to pay £137k this year on improved contracts of existing players. I know Kelly was one name mentioned but cant remember the rest.

| Abandon the reserves farce, tell lots of players like Logan, Paea, Thompson, Talanoa that they wont play for us again and are free to find another club - ie get them off our salary cap then sign one or two Marquee forwards - would completely change us imo

Who are they going to sign for mid season? You can't just cancel contracts.
You are confusing Super League with Fantasy Football.

| The Club have totally misunderstood what was required for this season.
The root of our troubles started, with the needless trip to Australia.
What did we get out of that ?
Even with the injury crisis it is obvious we needed to strengthen the pack. Once Watts left , Taylor apart , out front row is weak.
To have a good year this year , it hinges on Kelly.
If he stays fit , and interested he will provide the spark and magic required. If he had played more last year, we would have edged some games.

| The club destroyed all its recent work when it binned Watts for nothing. It should of gone out and replaced with better as a statement. Instead it did nothing then rewarded existing players who are past it with more contracts. If nothing is done to rectify it now this season is over and next year will be another season of transition. Thats the next two seasons of nothing. The club needs to take a grip of this now, admit they got things wrong and start changing asap.

Even if we have Kelly back Wigan will be far too strong and fast for us.
The problem we have is how long do you let the loss situation go.
We cant keep saying pleased with the effort if we dont get the points.
With London we are now the other team in Super League that will struggle for points.
