Despite going out of the cup yesterday it was a perfoemance that leaves me more confident than ever that we can still leave a mark on the SL this year. To do that though we have to dust ourselves down quickly because we have a must win game in 4 days time.

It seems we will be without Houghton, Hadley and probably Manu at least. Is Westerman likely to be back? Do we leave the backs as they are or do Scott or Harris come back in?

I'm confident we will win, but it's a banana skin after our efforts yesterday and their week off.

I'd give Harris a run out at halfback with Kelly put Connor right centre as Logan was all over the place yesterday. Connor been great at half back but needs must at the moment.

Still got enough in the tank for Friday I reckon. There's Litten, Lane, Scott and Harris to come in, and Downs hasnt been used for weeks, unsure if Turgut is now back to and a chance Westerman will be fit. So not ideal but still fresh troops to use.

logan the funny one, he started of poorly but I thought he got better the game went on, ran strongly, do we give him another go?

have to, the only way he can improve is through minutes on the field.

We shouldn't take Salford lightly, they have some good players.

I feel for Logan. Right Centre is the hardest position to defend in and he was up against the best Centre in SL at the moment.

We adopt a scrambling defence and that takes time to get used to. At times yesterday he was caught in two minds, whether to come in or whether to stick with his man, and with more game time that decision making will get better.

The most pleasing thing is he kept his head up & worked his balls off all game.

Logan did ok, I have no issues with him, but I just think Scott has more about him. I'm not sure Logan will ever be more than just an ok squad player.

scott is the more physical of the 2, logan the better runner, nothing in them imo, does logan derserve to be dropped though?

Disciplinary charges are out and no Hull Fc player has been cited!

Oh but Sika and Hadley are out for 2 weeks and Danny Hougton can't play due to failing the head test.

With those out, hoping Westy is fit. I think we have two choices

For me Turgut is better than Downs

Logan was poor, although he improved, his defence was awful, his two attempts for their last two trys were terrible, I'd only have him in on the wing.

I get the impression Turgut won't play for us again, not based on facts, just think he would have been used by now if in Radford's plans?

During our recent injuries though the one area that hasnt been affected is back row. Now that we are going to be down a couple (plus Washy probably playing hooker) you would think he will get a chance. If he doesnt play this week I reckon you are right.

Centres have been hammered though and didn't Turgut used to play a fair bit of centre? I'd have thought he'd have been the option before Hadley (against Fev) and then bringing Yeamo out of retirement.
To me it seems like he doesn't have much of a future at the club. But I'm still hopeful he gets given another chance and proves he is worth keeping around.

Fair enough, but I thought he was seen by some as a centre where we've had injury issues so thought he might have been picked there by now.
