| Thought the lads deserved a far better ovation at the end. Yes there was some school boy errors but once again the effort and the commitment in what was a dead rubber against the form team was excellent. The young lads ran their blood to water and defended like their life's depended on it.At the end of the day the game swung on a unbelievable forward pass.If it wasn't for that we could of been talking about a great win.The score without doubt flattered them. The mighty East stand was emptying as soon as the game was unwinnable..The young lads deserved a lot more at the end and I was embarrassed how anything but a home win doesn't warrant a show of support and appreciation of their efforts.iakow?

If we get into an unwinnable position against Cats 99% stadium will be empty

| thought you did OK last night to be fair, both teams made far too many errors, a lot of them complete unforced brainfarts, and i thought you were gonna go on to win it after Yeaman scored, but we showed great spririt to come back and win in the end.
what a shame that as old faithful was been played the stands were empty of Hull fans, are things that bad that not many stayed to show their appreciation for the their efforts?

I know.thats the fear for next week.i know as a fan base we are really been tested year after year but if people don't think the likes of mini, watts,Houghton deserve a show of appreciation for the effort they have put in this year and the likes of rankin and paea don't deserve a good send off that's a pretty sad show from the Faithfull . hopefully a good win on the cards and a positive note to finish and take into next year.

While I do agree with your sentiments, many fans (myself included) are simply fed-up with all things HullFC, our performances, the hype and no delivery each year, the academy merger, Radford as coach etc and it noticeable how many passholders who have been going for years are now frequently missing games. Last night to me was the same game we've seen on repeat nearly all season, 'decent effort, poor execution, game there for the taking...no points' so I can't blame the fans for just feeling apathetic about it all.
Next week is a must win to restore at least a bit of confidence, Catalan are pretty much useless away from home and you can't imagine some of their departing players will be busting a gut in a dead rubber game. So nothing less than a win is acceptable in my eyes.

I do understand that general apathy and feel it myself.just fans will often make statements like "throw the young kids in, at least they'll av a go etc" and how they would rather watch young local lads having a real dig and losing than players just going through the motions. Well that's what we have at the moment.was proud of the effort at Wigan and last night was no different for me.just feel we are losing a bit of that passion what made us the best fans I the league.understand the reasons but disappointed I it's happening

I agree it's disappointing, and personally it feels awful to feel so disillusioned with the club. personally I feel with the squad we've built next year and the young players coming through all it needs is an experienced head coach, but Pearson seems to be sticking to his guns about Radford, and has even gone as far as saying fans protesting or staying away won't change his mind. So we either grin and bear it or (as many seem to be doing) we walk away and find something else to do with our time and money.
As for the young players thing, I thought again it was the younger players who were the better performers, It was the likes of Pryce and Sneyd the more experienced players who had bad games.

Embarrassing sense of entitlement. We're a 6-9th-ish club with a fanbase that thinks because we had some success a decade ago we should accept nothing less than Top 4. We're in a group with Warrington and Catalans. That's realistically where we are. I agree that the lack of appreciation of effort on the field is poor.

Three Challenge Cup wins in 150 years and one Championship in the last fifty years and people moan that we miss the top four.

I do think there's a section of delusion and entitlement that's not merited. AP can say what he likes but let's remember the financial positions/benefactor backing at Leeds, Wigan, Saints, Warrington, Huddersfield. We're holding our own where we are in that context, Cas being the outliers.

I think you're missing the point made.
No one is expecting a top 4 finish or knocking the young kids and their effort but as ULLFC has said have become rather disillusioned with the inconsistent and familiar type performances which have predominantly been boring to watch under Radford and have simply lost faith in the coach.
I think last nights typical performance coupled with the last couple of seasons is what made people leave early and not entirely because they did not appreciate the younger players' effort (or at least I hope not).

I don't disagree that there's a cumulative effect here - four years of Agar wasn't dissimilar I actually think we've scored some expansive tries in the latter half of the season but our error rate and discipline has killed us rather than simply playing dour one-out rugby.

Going back 60 years in the Championship increases the number of wins to 3 and includes a period of 5 successive seasons when in the league we finished 4th, 2nd, 4th,7th and 3rd with 3 Championship finals. I don't think I will see a repeat of such a run as that again!

| Why do you all keep mentioning "Faithful" and singing "in any kind of weather" when many are obviously not? I realise all teams lose support when they are not doing well but many of you seem to be in denial when talking about the quality of your support as though it were something special. In fact it is no better and in fact looking at the numbers leaving before the whistle when you lose in some instances much worse than some other teams. Your club song sets you up for a fall if you do not live up to the words that you sing so gustily in the good times when in the bad times.
