Why have people been having problems? HAsn't made any difference to me and you only view 1 page at a time so does it make any difference if the tread is 10 pages or 100 pages?

Someone please explain. There have been previous threads on other boards that lasted for years without seemingly causing problems

I mainly access on my phone and have some issues on the forum app I've got with long threads...but I put that down to the general rubbishness of the app/iPhone (also cant do quotes properly). The long threads won't load properly and time out. Can't see why there would be an issue on a computer tho.

I find it takes each page miles longer to load, sometimes it wont even load up at all.

Ive been having loads of problems with rlfans and message boards generally that just freeze but ive just updated Java and now no problems. Dont know whether its connected but it worked for me

Because mate by clicking on page 106 it took me going for a wee having a cuppa before it loads. So page 1 we are back on . Its not a bother for the mods. Move on it did not hurt you.

Noone said it did, I was merely asking a question so don't be so rude. I have a 4 year old laptop and it's fine on there and it's fine on my android phone. I honestly can't see that the reason for your problem is anything to do with teh length of the thread. RL fans has been running slowly again in general on and off recently but it's the whole board, not just that thread

I don't see the point in a long rumour thread. I dont come on here much and when I check the rumour page I don't want to be going throw hundreds of pages for names. Whats wrong with havin a topic dedicated to the player?

Given the amount of players we are linked to, actual news or match threads would disappear past page two.

I didn't see any loading problems with the long thread, and the official word from Admin is that long threads are now fine and shouldn't give any performance issues. But if some people were seeing long loading times then it's no big deal to keep the threads at the old 1000 post limit. It's pretty much only the rumour thread that gets trimmed anyway.

I was also having problems loading the rumour thread once it went over the 100 plus mark.
Very slow loading and sometimes not at all.
However i could click on other threads of say 1-3 pages and get on no problem.
Now not being a PC wizard as some on here,i thought it was down to the number of pages and waited.
I did not have any problems with other internet sites.

whilst that is not entirely untrue I think, on this occasion, he was asking a simple question in a non-confrontational way - imho.

Better an argumentative pr1ck than a red and white c nut like you
