thaler let the game flow(if it was possible in this weather), virtually no penalties against both teams for wrestling the players in the tackle

FFS its the first time Agar's really ever come out and said anything regarding a ref, unlike others who've really had a 'go',

not stop start with constant whistle blowers, both teams guilty of laying on

The point being that a really good ref would ping the first couple of offences, maybe sin bin a persistent offender, and stop the laying on without having to blow up all the time.

You can't just stop enforcing rules because you want the game to 'flow'. And in the case of the ruck it's counter-productive anyway.

its not so much the ref, admitedly most of them are c**p, it the guidelines they are given to follow. its obviously been pushed down from the top to allow laying on, what with all the surrender calls etc we hear. for the first time in quite a while i left early tonight because there is litteraly nothing going on in the games due to the slow play. any new supporters we attracted through the offer tonight will not exactly of had there minds blown will they. bottom line is untill refs are told by cummins or whoever to change it we are going to be stuck with this slow and boring rugby

Seems Dennis Moore has the same opinion that refs are killing the game allowing this extra wrestle
