| Who do you rate as Hull's best ever goalkicker?
For me based on accuracy, it must be a toss up between Hewitt and Tickle.
For pure Hollywood, it's got to be Sammy Lloyd going for goal from the half way line!

| Quote: Locko's Luck "Gary Pearce? Lee Crooks?'"
Always thought Lee Crooks was never consistant enough. When he was on form with the boot he was good. However, he was also capable of missing the sticks by a country mile.

| Matt Crowther back at the boulevard. He never missed. Shame he could only goal kick.

Suppose the '80 Cup Final will also take the edge off Sammy's kicking career. Shame, because he got us in there in the semi final v Widnes at Swinton, with a couple of touch line pressure kicks. Let's not forget, he only narrowly missed (by mms) winning us the 1982 Cup at Wembley.
Agree though, Tickle is one of the most reliable kickers we have had.

| 1,John Maloney
2,Sammy Lloyd
3,Paul Eastwood
In that order. All 3 were great kickers.

| Gary Pearce was the best all round kicker we've had in the last 30 years IMO. His goal kicking percentage was very high and his kicks in play were massive. His penalties to touch were often 40-50 metres. Brian Smith built his early team around his kicking. I do remember the 0-0 game at Leeds in the semi against Halifax were he wasn't so good though, although to be fair there was a massive gale blowing that day. Of what I've seen Lloyd, Raggy tash Brough and Tickle are up there too but for me its Pearce.

| Paul Eastwood for me just because he was goal kicker when I could first afford to pay myself into the boulevard. We always seemed to start games with a penalty kick and no matter where it was kicked, Paul would ease it over. Ok so it seemed to take forever but I don't ever remember him missing a kick!!
