You know the war of the roses matches could have an interest but it would need to have the full backing of the clubs which given todays overplayed staff i doubt it would , and the player injury risk is just far too great in my opinion, whilst i personally would love to see them again i just cant see it happening

| Personelly would like to grow on the York / Leeds 9's tournaments of the past and have something for ALL of the clubs not just SL. Also think it would be of interest to people outside of the heartlands. Think rara's have done well out of there 7's circuit.

| yorks v lancs is a waste of time which was highlighted by the embarrasingly low attendances. It is also out of date as the game is trying to expand.
I agree with the MM principle but it should be done in smaller stadia in a city that is more accessable.
maybe city of manchester stadium, st james park, villa park or bramall lane/hillsborough would be better options. it should be made more about the spectacle of rugby and full crowds than an away day in a country that has little or no interest in rugby league.

| I don't think the Magic Weekend is a dead duck. It just seems under-thought.
It's at the wrong time. It needs to be later in the season to make it more attractive to families.
It needs to be moved more. 1 year in Dublin, 1 year in Cardiff, I year in London, 1 year in Paris etc.
It needs to be better publicised, not just amongst RL fans/teams.
It needs tickets/hotels packages for families and groups.
It should be SL on the road, as some suggest, but in a massive way.

| NEVER EVER do I want to see a Yorks v Lancs game again
The last one played was the one that ended Preccie's career, when he came on as a pointless sub, playing on the wing in a pointless game.
That's good enough reason for me.

It's all very well proposing Paris and Dublin , but the cost involved getting there will be far higher than a cheap rail ticket to Edinburgh , even with budget flights , which of course are limited in number.

Oxymoron?
Wouldn't be suprised if you could fly to dublin cheaper, leeds/Bradford to Dublin is £20 each way
Liverpool to Dublin (P&O) for 4 people in a car is £140. so £35 each and a bit of petrol for our lancashire friends

| Personally i think that we should have another cup competition and get rid of the magic weekend all together. As the only cup we can play for theses days is either challenge cup (end of august)or grand final trophy (beginning of oct).Which are both to the end of the season anyway. Say for example where you play at the beginning of the season. To get people interested prior to super league kick off. Going back pre super league we had the likes of John player trophy of the floodlit trophy (I know that we cant advertise alcohol or cigarettes now).We used to have a charity shield before the main season opener. Why dont we bring that back to life? Just my though. Anybody else agree/disagree ???
