| It really, really narks me sitting around supporters who have no idea about the rules
1. Tansey drops on a kick and doesnt get up, Bulls players stand over him without touching him, Tansey realises he is about to be penalised for a voluntary tackle and tries to get up, Bulls players drag him into touch, no problem........boooo!!
2. Calderwood injured, Luauki warms up and is ready to come on, knock on = scrum, people around me complaining that the ref wont let us make the sub even though you cant make a sub at a scrum.....boooo!!
If you are going to spend the money on a season pass, you would have thought that you would at least learn the rules.......rant over  |

I think they were booing because of the rule change this season which states it is a penalty if a player is dragged into touch. The players seemed to be saying the same to the ref, so maybe they don't know the rules either? |

Nothing wrong with that. Surely Bradford should have had a penalty when Turner smashed Reardon into touch. Your no longer allowed to tackle players into touch are you?...

You forgot the ball being pulled out by us one on one but then knocking it on giving them another set.... more booing and another demonstration that a large portion of spectators don't know how to 'Slow clap' SLOWLY.

I think it's the inconsistency once again. Hull got penalised for a similar one a week or two ago, then no penalty was given last night. It's a stupid rule and one the players were clearly confused by as well. |

There's loads of em,as soon as something happens that they don't like it's the refs fault. Although i did think dragging into touch in a gang tackle had been outlawed once a foot was off the ground.

TBH I thought the rule change this season was about using a leg as a lever in the tackle. Once one foot is off the ground held is now called

I saw that as us stripping the ball one on one then the ball went backwards and the Bradford player picked it up. Nothing wrong with it at all bt everyone around me was baying for the refs blood.
When Tansey was dragged into touch i feel that is more to do with the inconsitencies, the rule IIRC is if a players leg is lifted then the tackle is deemed complete??
But i think the main thing is to do with the amount of time allowed to wrestle at the ptb it gets spectators backs up and then any slight thing sets them off. |

Dragging tackled players as opposed to pushing them
Interpretation:Where opponents do not make a tackle effective in the quickest possible manner but then attempt to drag an opponent into touch or back towards his own in goal area then the referee should immediately call held.
Application: This does not prevent players driving an opponent into touch or back into his own in goal area providing that a team mate of the ball carrier has not added their weight to the tackle. As soon as the referee sees a tackling player dragging the ball carrier in a tackle that involves more than one tackler he will call "held". If the tackling players continue to move the ball carrier after the "held" call they should be penalised.
