| Knight had a Brain fart. Properly cost us the game. ...But he's not the main problem.....A lack of a cutting edge missing outside with no second rowers ....Today was a backward step .....Some of our older players looked tired......But we have two weeks rest ....Need Cartwright Back to give us some threat outside.......

What happens to us come Magic Weekend?
We often play poorly there and today was amongst the worst.
Seems our Magic record is now 7 wins 11 defeats, which even in bare facts isn't exactly brilliant, but even the seven wins don't have too many decent performances in there. Think we had a decent win over rovers one year, and the win over Warrington two years ago was probably the best we've played at the event, but by and large we never seem to perform at the weekend no matter who we play, last year being the best example here!!!!

| Very frustrating, if Cust swaps ball carrying hands he probably scores and we avoid all that unravelled after. As easy as it could be to point to things like the crusher tackles or Swift knocking on not going our way, I'd look to some selection and rotation choices that we've seen not just today but in previous weeks. While having Briscoe on the bench worked out cos Barron went off, I'm not liking us flogging Bourouh for a full game, if Balmforth had been on the bench we could move Rapana to wing, Chamberlain to centre and Ashworth on SR. I feel like the coach doesn't fully trust his bench players hence why Asiata went back on near the end. Eseh didn't come on after his sin bin, Aydin only came on towards the end, not sure how long Ashworth was on.
A potential saving grace is with the week off there is a reserves game so if someone cops a ban then they would be available for Leeds i think?

Words fail me, hudds are crap which shows how bad we were. They need to be back in training every day until the next game after that relearning the basics of rugby league.
We desperately need to do something about our back row situation, there's no size or threat out there whatsoever, we need to get someone in ASAP.
The really disappointing thing for me is the lack of leadership. Tithe team was crying out for a calming influence after the eseh yellow card and there was none Surely you shouldn't need to tell the players with 10 seconds left and Hudds not even trying to score you don't go for a hit like that, best case scenario, you put in a legal hit they drop the ball and the hooter goes. Totally down to Knight this one. Well clearly someone did need to say it or he wouldn't have got sent off

| Said this last week, players need to crack on the with the game, players like Cust, Pryce and Bourouh get too involved with the ref and opposition, just crack and let the referee ref the game and the captain talk to the ref.

Carty is big on his disapline so Eseh probably payed the price for his indisapline, we could be looking at replacing Knight also with another player with some brains.
Maybe so but then that is stupid? We are trying to win a game here and are already one prop light. I thought Eseh was a little unlucky and whilst he deserved a yellow the whole incident got blown up by their reaction.

Can't blame anyone but Knight for that one.

| Another thing we don't do enough of is the running in after a high tackle, tackle off the ball etc... other teams do it, they did it today with our two cards but we just stood there when Burgess was carded.

Just seen the incidents and Burgess is as bad if not worse than knights and Custs the other week, depends on the colour of your shirt I guess.
Think Burgess was a touch lucky not to see red, given with what's been happening these recent weeks. Reckon the major problem with Knight was that Moore had just called the captain's together after the Esah incident and told them to calm everyone down as there was only one play left before the half time break when everyone could cool off a little, only for Knight to then come steaming in ten seconds later giving Moore all the ammunition he needed. There is unquestionably a case for Burgess seeing red, but it still doesn't excuse Knight's unbelievably dumb act right on the hooter. We wouldn't have gained anything even if English had knocked on, so what was the point of charging in like that? Those two minutes summed up the whole afternoon for me!!!

I agree he was mainly to blame but a decent captain speaks to thise players he knows are likely to be fired up
