| If London were to return to SL, the first thing they need is a permanent ground. They’ve had 45 years of nomadic existence, they need to build a fan base. It’s impossible to do that if you start in Fulham, go to The Stoop, then Brentford, go North to Barnet and then South to Wimbledon, plus a few others in between.

Like you say no point playing on a park pitch if you are trying to promote the game in London. I would say Salford need to try and do the same thing with one of the Manchester clubs

I would say Salford need to try and do the same thing with one of the Manchester clubs Fulham or Brentford would seem the obvious choice there. Ironically, London have decamped at both of those clubs during their existence and arguably it was during those periods that it appeared most likely there could possibly be some reasonable chance of success for the club as an established SL side. It's interesting to speculate how it may have panned out for a London RL club if the original Fulham RLFC (1980) had been successful, had remained at Craven Cottage these past 45 years and had been able to establish roots and a committed fanbase around West London for all these years. A well supported and well established SL team in London would undoubtedly help the profile of the sport, but as we have seen too many times it is pointless them being in there if it is only as a token gesture as a non M62 corridor club.

Salford's fans can disappear inside their current abode, can you imagine what it would look like if Salford-Huddersfield was to be played out at a cavernous empty Old Trafford! Think Man Utd have more program and hot dog sellers on match day duty than Salford have fans! Well they did have until Ratcliffe sacked them all as a cost saving exercise!!

| Irwin was brought back from Exeter City to front up the consortium who now have shown their hand and he's seen the light before it's extinguished. They have no interest in rugby but just want the land parcel. He was their only real hope Salford fans must be distraught by now. The Salford Council seem to have built their hopes up before letting them down too.

| The rumour going round is that he didn’t see the light. He’s supposed to have found out he’s unemployed at the same time as everybody else.

A couple of journos on X "confirming" this too. Another director (Kurt Graver) gone as well according to John Davidson

Sad for the fans but that club has had enough chances now, it isn't a viable business. If results get called null and void do we climb the table? As most have beaten them but we haven't played them yet.
