| I said last week was the proudest I've felt as an FC fan in a while, and this week has topped it. What an amazing effort - especially backing up after last week's golden point match.
Last year's team would have lost that 50-0, there'd have been talk midweek in the HDM about how the players were going to right their wrongs, they'd learnt lessons etc...then they'd go out and get tonked again the following week...and repeat. Zero accountability from a lot of the players.
Cartwrights post match interview shows one of the biggest differences to last year - player accountability. He said the half time team talk was player led - there's a lot of players in that team who have a lot of personal pride and desire to win - you could see it in their second half performances, they wanted to make up for the first half. It's got a feeling of the 2016 team, the players have a togetherness, don't want to let each other down and we have that desire to win every game, no matter the circumstances.
Finally - how was Borouh not a starting player at Salford, one of the most underrated signings in SL this season for me, turning in to a brilliant player.

Yes and he was written off by some on here before he pulled a shirt on because he wasn't being selected by Salford. Same with Hardaker at Leigh. Maybe Myler knows more than they do after all.

| After watching the game again today a few things really stood out. The first being the carries and metres that both Barron & Martin made coming out of our 20 was fantastic. The performance of Sezer especially in the 2nd directing the play & his running. Hardaker & Bourouh who have really stood up since joining the club. I know Big Herman often and rightly gets spoken about, but thought Knight & Ashworth really drove us forward.
Every player from 1-17 put in one hell of a shift and that’s all we ever ask.
Great to see the togetherness not just of the players, but also the Coach and the owner too.

I’d still proceed with caution judging players on 2/3 year contracts after 5 games in, the jury’s still out for me on everyone but yeah people said that Borough couldn’t be any good because Rowley preferred 2 journeyman utility players Atkin and Mellor over him at hooker. Looks to me maybe Rowley just go this one wrong or didn’t use him correctly as he looks a player. Judging players on opposing fans opinion is even less reliable. Before he pulled on a shirt there was a narrative that Sezer was terrible at Leeds. Even after Saturday I saw people on SM saying how come Sezer was so poor for Leeds etc? Out of interest to see if he really was that bad I looked on YouTube, funnily enough there’s a load of clips of him creating try’s from clever kicks and cut out passes exactly like he’s done for us but in a Leeds shirt, maybe they just didn’t appreciate him.

| Played 37 games in two season, so around 60% if you say Leeds play 30 games a season.
Leeds also seem to have an issue with halfback, they have also made Croft look pretty poor.
Sezer has been great though, can't underestimate what have someone like Asiata does to give the halfbacks time though.
I agree with the poster above that says we need more from Cust and if he doesn't get better, 6 should be next priority for next season if it isn't already, even if we have to make a tough decision.

Yeah looks like he missed quite a few games in his two years there, he also missed the grand final for them with a HIA. Was a big money signing for them, had some bad luck with injuries (it’s a tough sport) and maybe just never got fully going to live up to big expectations, just don’t think he was ever not a good player.

| Rohan Smith was clueless at Leeds which didn't help. They played with no structure which wouldn't have helped Sezer.
Not getting too excited yet, but us signing Sezer but it looks like we've got the right player with a coach who can get the best out of him. Asiata is controlling the middle and giving him a load of space too

Like you I'm not getting too giddy yet, however crucially for me we finally have a proper Head Coach who has vast experience at the highest level in the todays game. Cartwright Snr is one of the best bits of business the club has done in years, a tough competitor with a will/desire to win, knows how & when to communicate to his players and staff. We are also starting to see the benefits of the structures that Cartwright has implemented with his staff something we haven't had for years. I'll admit I was dubious to say the least when Sezer was signed but so far I'm happy to have my doubts proven unfounded. Sure there'll be bumps in the road as we go through the season but the difference in the whole club in 6-7 months verses the past 6-7 years in huge.
