22/4 down and a poor ill disciplined first half that i thought put paid to my post that i wouldnt be surprised if we won and it would be a closer game than most predicted. A magnificent second half both in defence and attack and what a difference it was We looked good ball in hand and the team gave us the most exciting 40 minutes we have had since the C/C final against Warrington. Liam knight looks to be a good pick up and with him and Liam Watts offloading we could cause teams problems with the space created. If i had to criticise anything its Sezers kicking on the last tackle.Needs to vary it as its just an easy take for the defence and sets them on the front foot. Other than that once again Sezer MOM. Lewis Martin standing up Bevan French then taking him on on the outside was a classic
The thing about Sezer's kicking is something I've thought all season. He stands very deep in the pocket and it means that A. He's kicking on the back foot making it harder to find the floor. And B. A lot of the chasers are offside. It's a nitpick, but it's something I would be trying to work on if I was on the coaching staff. The second half was as good as I've seen us play since 2017. The width and precision we attacked with was superb. Teams just don't cut Wigan up that easily, but we did it over and over again. I'm really excited about what this team can do.

Congrats - in the second half Hull ran harder and played with far more intensity and got the rewards. Sezer, Ese Ese and Martin were brilliant. A kick up the backside for Wigan -when Jai Field went off it came apart and they need to be better than that. Can't win them all - good luck in the next round. Not bad for a team that needs a 6 and a strike centre

| Still utterly speechless, absolutely amazing. Thought Wigan came out of the traps like a greyhound, we didn't match them for intensity and hence found ourselves 16-0 down with less than 20 played. It had all the hallmarks of another 40-50 point drubbing at that point! But we hung in there, grabbed a foothold in the game and fought and scrapped our way back into the contest.
Don't know if Wigan felt it was over as a contest after that try right on half-time, but they seemed to become lax and then panicky as the second half wore on. Even at 22-20 I still didn't see those last few minutes coming, but you could see the belief surging through everyone as the scoreboard clicked ever closer, especially the experienced heads who used all of their nous and guile to wrest victory from defeat. Lewis skinning French on the outside was a sight to cheer for all black & whites.
When was the last time we won a game after being more than two scores behind? Can't recall off the top of my head. Still genuinely stunned at what we witnessed. Keep thinking I'm suddenly going to wake up after falling asleep for a nap this afternoon and realising it's 17:30 and the game is just about to kick-off or something. Maybe we all just dreamt it happened and the game is still to kick off!! It seems quite unreal!

After that performance, Iād fancy us against any one in the Cup. Would be nice to have a home draw for once though. Presume Rovers will get Salford at home.
Suspect even the rovers fans were cheering us on at the end, along with most other supporters. Our win has blown the competition wide open for everyone left in the draw, apart from possibly Salford and their ongoing travails. Based on what we have seen in the six games so far, it could be almost anyone walking up Wembley way come 8th June. It really is beginning to look like who turns up on the day with the right game will walk away with the spoils.

Letās be Having you ! As Delia once cried into her mic Can we do it ?
I think we can ! I do
Itās hard to maintain motivation for every piece of Silverware so I can only hope Wigan take their eye off the Task in hand for them
Remember 2005 Semi F v Saints at Huddersfield - no one gave us a chance. Saints were complacent and we were desperate.
Itās a one off - we can do it !
I will write that again for the next round !!!!! Flipping amazing

| Lewis Martin was our top try scorer last season with nine tries. He's already matched that after only six games in 2025.
