What the game highlighted was the difference in a short time that the new coach has made together with his coaching team. it also shows that having even one decent second row can make on the team Sezer was outstanding.I was very critical of his signing based on his performances in the UK the previous time he was here but he looks class. Just think what we could do when we have two quality centres with pace and a running halback and this together with a big mobile front row has to be Mylers priority for next season The Briscoe incident denied us the chance to win the game but i wont mention the officials for the fear of being called negative
Would agree with this. When we announced the signing of Sezer I was distinctly underwhelmed (whilst acknowledging the fact we were not in a strong bargaining position last year). Through his four previous years in SL he has too often flattered to deceive, giving lie to his reputation, but in the four games so far for us he has given every indication that he has all the attributes to be the midfield tactician that we have craved for so many years. As Zucchini Head says, maybe this is a case of right player playing for the right coach in the right environment, let's hope so. Still a long way to go of course, but a midfield pivot of Asiata-Sezer already looks to be of a standard way higher than we have watched/endured this past 5/6 years. As you say, the key now is to give them some firepower out wide in order to maximise Asiata and Sezer's abilities to organize and direct traffic. Our recruitment policy over the next two years will be crucial in how far, and how quickly, we can progress. Sezer has been given free reign with the players as Captain and he 's relishing the responsibility. I see we are having a go at Bell now BP only signed for 10 hours and already he's no good. Everyone has their opinions and are entitled to them and I respect that but just like we did with Borough, Cust and Sezer in the winter they are rubbish on signing. However, having seen how we have started I think we have to trust is Myler and Cartwright because they seem to be able to make something of such 'useless' players. At least we are going for big club players and what's more, the cash we now have and what they are seeing from our new start sees them signing for us. Let's face it they are much better than we were trying to bring in last year at this time. Not made much of holmes and Chamberlain yet, and we won't talk about abdul

Asiata apart Mylers signings have been average to poor. If Myler was the man involved signing Batchelor then ill cut him a bit of slack as that for me is a quality player but Bell i dont understand

| Sezer is the Dogs As a fan I feel more comfy on last tackle so I’m sure the players feel good knowing Hail Sezer will put down a nice kick to chase.
The team played like Warriors !! Was very heart warming for sure
Briscoe taking the ball on the touch line was a utterly disgraceful call
We were robbed of winning the match for sure 100%
Only Wigan away next then 3 more away matches until Good Friday
Surely the GF match looks like a 20,000 plus as the scum are luckily well placed for now

| So Cartwright gets although the credit for signings.
Wonder who it was who identified and appointed Cartwright?
Must be someone doing a really good job.

It's also Myler who does the contract negotiations and gets the signings over the line. There's no point in Cartwright identifying players he would like if the club cannot convince them to come. Not to mention the work he's done to bring the club back closer to the supporters with numerous events at the stadium and out in the community. Myler is doing a decent job but we've been in such a hole it'll take time to get things right.

| Sezer was a strange one. I’d have preferred someone younger and missing out on a marquee like Lam was slightly underwhelming but he always had the qualities we needed. In a few years in SL before Hull Sezer was nominated for MOS and took his side to a GF. Even after a supposedly poor 2023 he still got an NRL gig and before SL he played 150 NRL games including a GF, there’s no way he was a bad player.
I cringe at Hull fans doing the same on social media but nowadays all fans seem to love to negatively rewrite history when players leave. According to Salford fans Cust and Borough were awful, Saints are doing the same with Batchelor. Watts has carried Cas for years and have no go forward without him but are apparently glad he’s gone. I just look at the stats rather than trust fans opinions.

| Mylers doing a good job overall but has made some mistakes in recruitment. I just don't think Bell is as good as some are making out, particularly if he does take our last non fed spot, which should have been used on a decent centre or half. Of course, we may be signing good quality players in those positions in which case it makes sense or Bell may, indeed be off quota. If not I'd rather we'd used that last quota spot somewhere else

| Every single DOR rugby or equivalent make mistakes, including the likes of Wigan and Rovers, you just have to get the main ones right, think Myler is doing that, particularly with the quota places.
Agree on Bell and the quota spot, but I guess that will have to be judged once recruitment is done, I like Bell though, very versatile and skillful, think he will be very good off the bench for us.
Those doubting Sezer maybe didn't watch him last season, he was good for Wests in a poor side, he has also adapted his game to be more of a controlling half.

| The only issue with sezer was his fitness. He seemed to miss most of his 2 years at Leeds due to injury and at his age it has to be a concern, however he seems pretty robust currently. I've been particularly impressed with his defence which isn't something you really notice when they play for the opposition

Said the same on Thursday, he reads the opposition attacks very well, shuts down plays with strong contact. Also been impressed with the way he injects himself into the line with the ball, shows a decent turn of pace. Got caught a few times on 4th tackle though.

| Sezers injury record wasn't too bad at Leeds, was much worst at Hudds.
