Sao reportedly out for the season. Gutted for the guy. This was set to be a big year for him to try and earn a new deal, if not at Hull than at least somewhere. I was expecting him to go really well under Cartwright, and he started off well last week against Catalans.

You just know it’ll be worse than expected. It always is.
It looks like he was in and around the Manly first grade setup as a youngster when Carty was there as he made a first grade appearance in 2016. Every overseas player we’ve signed has followed that pattern so could be something in it.
