| Interesting. That could definitely see a few players sitting out for awhile towards the back end of the season.

| It's certainly an interesting development and should in theory make things easier and clearer but if Cullen and the MRP are still involved, think its safe to say it will likely make little difference in the way some grades were given last season with the points are handed out. Its the disparity between similar incidents and punishments given that was/is the big issue and not sure this resolves this.
The one good thing is that it at least addressing the appeals process in terms of clubs appealing when really there was very little to validate an appeal.
Its doesn't really say how they will determine the actual process as in reviewing the players charged, I assume any player charged and then given 'no case to answer' will not be given any points?

| Where are we on the armpit tackling?
Do I recall right that they're not introducing that this year due to the successful reduction in head impacts?

Yes there was something I read by Matthew Shaw I think that confirmed that they aren't bringing it in for 2025 for that very reason, hopefully 2025 will carry on the same so that it won't require implementation in 2026 or beyond for the good of the players and sport.

| [quote="Jake the Peg":2r6otbl6]It seems we will now have a points based system, which appears clear enough. I'm assuming that you only get 1 ban per level of points and then incur the next ban as you move up to the next level. It should see fewer initial suspensions but could result in long bans for persistent offenders and will carry across seasons so you could bring in a player with potential suspensio s looming

Fits in well with IMG.They love spread sheets and points systems so we know where this has come from
