Live Aid; the Space Shuttle disaster; Scott marrying Charlene in Neighbours; Hillsborough; the fall of the Berlin Wall; the creation of the World Wide Web; Nelson Mandela being released from prison; The start of Sky TV; the start of the National Lottery; first Iraq war; Black Wednesday; second Iraq war; OJ Simpson being acquitted; Nelson Mandela becoming president; Oasis v Blur; Death of Princess Diana; the Take That splitting up telephone Help Line; 9/11; Y2K IT bug hype; the opening of the KC Stadium; Hull winning the Challenge Cup in Cardiff; the introduction of the iPhone; Hull City being promoted to the Premier League; Tom Briscoe scoring 5 tries in a Challenge Cup Final; Hull winning at Wembley; Hull winning at Wembley again; Hull City winning at Wembley again; Brexit; Covid; Partygate; Liz Truss crashing the economy; Death of QE II. Kirk Yeaman started nursery, then went through school. Signed for Hull FC, won the Challenge Cup, played in a Grand Final, made his international debut, scored twice at Wembley, played 374 times for Hull, won the Challenge Cup at Wembley, retired, came out of retirement and beat Hull KR, retired again, joined the coaching staff, became a Prison Officer, turned 40.

You could at least have formatted it so it could be sung to the tune of Billy Joel’s 1989 classic We Didn’t Start the Fire, which marked 40 years since he was born and the stuff that had happened in that period. Happy New Year though. (Early season dismay, Tony Smith, Saints away etc.)
