Tarquin FuegoWhat if it’s all the same bunkum ? And we get hammered by Cats and Wigan and then lose the next 2 and are 0-4'"
All the experience we all have on here of RL in general and the FC in particular, points to our current predicament engendering plenty of optimism and hope before a ball has been dropped in anger but that experience also points to the start of the season being slow and disjointed but providing the passion and wanting is back we'll have to endure it bite the bullet hold the line and be prepared to see us lose a few.
As long as we see progression in the development of understanding and playing together slowly improving as the season unfolds and we start to win a few and to proceed to make our home ground a bit of a fortress, where clubs don't want to visit, then we should all be satisfied next season.
The signals and indicators we will look for will be the players demeanour the reaction of the new owners to what unfolds and the way our new coach deals with adversity and tries to help us all hold the line. Its a long long way back from where we were last season but if its going to be a corporate development that inspires us all, then owners, players, coaches and most important of all us lot out there on the terraces watching through our fingers (at first at least) have to work together and not get too disheartened too soon. . Just let's not expect too much at first eh?
