Think he has potential to be in the 17, Ashworth is injury prone and the next in line is Fash, who needs to improve on last year's form.

Gardiner and Laidlaw I'm not sure they are good enough, both have given chances but they don't look good enough for SL IMO.

Adds depth, another option/prospect to work with, alongside the likes of Staveley, Laidlaw. The more bets you place, the more chance of getting a winner. Seems like a sensible strategy.

Weve given the chance to some young props, they weren't good enough, Laidaw and Gardiner played 30 games between them last year and don't look good enough as it stands.
