I guess we will have sold more since the last announcement of 6000 plus and although the deadline was yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if they now use that old James Clark trick and announce an extension of the deadline 'due to popular demand', I wondered in the first instance if introducing an early deadline date compared with other years was a mistake but it will be interesting to see what we end up with. Although those predicting 2000 and 3000 max were in cloud cuckoo land (we are made of sterner stuff than that) but I have to admit that its more than I thought One things for sure we must have the most long suffering fanbase in the history of Super League!

Walkers contract is up at the end of 2025 anyway and is free to negotiate with other clubs now. If we wanted to keep him long term we’d have to offer him a new deal pretty soon. As much as I think he’s a good player at this point I wouldn’t be offering him a new deal, that would be a huge gamble in the hope that he has a brilliant and relatively injury free 2025.

I'd doubt Walker is good enough to play FB for an NRL side.
