| Really don't think Clarke being remote is as big of a deal than what some are making of it.
Pretty clear he has put the pre season plan together, coming over to oversee the start and then leave it in the hands of our full-time staff keeping tabs on a part-time basis.
Is, again, frustrating how we have gone about announcing this.

| Quote: weaver93 "I think the time difference is key here .
Sydney is +10 GMT, so FC will be training around 10pm Aus time, so he could remotely monitor the performance of the players live. Data could be sent electronically overnight with and I assume Gaz Ellis will be Head of Performance to ensure the system is implemented.
Clarke puts emphasis on types of and when nutrition is consumed see this
While its a rapdily changing world with the technology and things are now more data driven, I do think theres a practical aspect here of how does someone sat in the Manly sunshine know if the squad are following instructions correctly running up hills in the Brantingham frost?
Random example but I remember years ago Danny Ward gave an interview that a club he was playing for had started doing weekly weighins and his answer to 'losing' a couple of pounds of water weight was to have a bottle of wine the night before in that example the data would say 'weight = fine' but it woulden't tell a coach on the other side of the world that the player had potentially come in with a hangover (not that 1 bottle of wine would impact a big prop that much however)

| Manly's statement reads that he will be with them for 2025 - it doesn't say he is there beyond that. So I would be happy for 2025 to be consultancy based, and full time for the remaining 2 years

| The club could have been unambiguous, and still posted the story in a positive light.
The way they’ve presented the story is classic James Rule style.
Just have be honest. It’s not difficult.

| Those people saying he will eventually come here full time, why would he leave Manly ? It sounds like an opportunity for him to earn some extra money from a mate while keeping his main job in a much bigger market with much better resources, plus getting some free flights home from time to time. I just hope he is committed to the role, its not going to be easy doing a full days work then coming home and doing more. Especially for 3 years.
