I can see in theory that it could mean that we could have more salary cap space if we was at the limit and bring in more players, but there’s no way we’ll spend anywhere near the salary cap (wasn’t we a million behind Wigan’s spend this year?) so it’s absolutely irrelevant. Because if he's not on marquee money that could give us an option to spend it on a centre. As fans we like to speculate how the caps been managed and what we could potentially still bring in, to me it matters if we're getting financial value out of a player, especially given the precarious financial position we are in. If we have any more Reynolds/Brown/Pele/Evans/Hoy I could probably go on it could have a horrendous impact on the club, I don't fancy seeing us do a Bradford (which could be a real possibility depending on investment).
