cartoons/WB17.gif I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.
Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.
I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

| INOUTAgree with what everyone is saying tonight. The effort is certainly there, can't fault the players attitude and commitment in recent weeks, especially when compared to the nightmare opening three months of the season, some of the goal-line defence was excellent, almost heroic at times, so plaudits to all on that score. Thought the Briscoe sin-binning was a little harsh, but that's the way the game is now, and in the end it was probably the decisive moment in the deciding the outcome.
The unfortunate aspect is that we are a low-quality side, in truth a bottom-three team, and we simply do not have the standard of players to tip these narrow defeats into victories. That is a consequence of our recruitment decisions over recent years which is an ongoing situation which will take time to address.
I don't like watching us lose, I never have, it becomes depressing for all of us when we are on a run like this, but sometimes you have pick out the positives where you can find them and build on them to move forward, and hopefully we can slowly continue to improve over the next few (tough!!!) games.
I'm a good deal more positive and hopeful than I was in February/March/April when I had genuine fears that the club was about to fall through a trapdoor. I am certainly a good deal more hopeful about our chances for a victory next Saturday than I was before Good Friday (when I was fearing a massacre!). If we can replicate the effort of recent weeks and the crowd become involved and we get the bounce of the ball at the right time then it's not beyond us to pinch a derby upset win. Think the pressure is on rovers after their defeat yesterday and hopefully we can turn that to our advantage. Either way, I'm now hopefully that we have reached the bottom of the curve and we are once more moving in an upwards direction.
Keep the faith everyone.

| We always hear how these things even out over the year. Off the top of my head I can think of 2 very questionable cards - Nu Brown & Briscoe yesterday. When exactly does it even out? I can’t remember any such decisions going our way so far.

| 14 points scored in briscoe's absence. We're playing better and more competitive but it just shows what an absolute shambles of a coaching team smith and gene were. I hope davy appoints him as hudds coach as and when he sacks excuse boy

| I agree Sutcliffe should have taken the conversion following Lanes try.
Would have given him something to do

| Quote: bonaire "A good line runner is not the criteria for a second row although it does obviously help
Lane is a good line runner but hardly a quality second row
To say Griffin has not made the transition into second row is ludicrous.
I was a major critic of Griffin as a centre and one of the first to advocate he moved into the second row.
Once he increased his fitness and workrate he became a very good second row for the club and it was only his brain farts and possible attitude to a previous coach that saw him leave the club.
He is a regular in the Wakefield team playing second row and scored again today.
Maybe you will change your mind when you see him next season playing for Wakefield against us in S/L'"
Hes playing second row in the championship, id hardly call that a transision. He wasnt bad but Carlos would never make a SR.

| It’s been a problem posting on the site, don’t know if it’s me, but really annoying trying to type.
I went to the Salford game, it was nice to see Sneyd being presented with his black and white shirt by Adam, the little half is a mercurial talent, and despite his age was the ultimate reason for our hard earned defeat.
I was talking to two chaps from Salford who were very disappointed we had managed to sign Amir Borough, I said I didn’t know much about him, and if he was that good why isn’t he playing, instead of the loan deal to Barrow.
They said he was on the bench, so obviously took an interest in his performance, although not on for very long, he made a couple of dynamic breaks, looked very fast and powerful, all in all with a small snapshot of him, he looked very promising.
A different style to Deneve, but hopefully we have a couple of good hookers here, backed up of course with availability of Cade Cust, in this department we have surely strengthened, as Danny heads for a well deserved sabbatical.
