The difference this time around is that the shoots in the scholarship are there. We've got our elite academy license, we've employed the coaches, we've managed to recruit a decent crop of scholars and have changed the whole academy pathways, and are days away from spades going in the ground and a massive shift in facilities for our club.
It has for many years been alot of talk but this is a different Rovers then in years gone by. Youth wasn't valued at all, ask fans within the community game about Rovers priorities and you'll be surprised. |

From Kristian Bell, Sandercock, Louis Sheriff and Dave Peterson, through Peacock’s 5-year plan, merging and separating pathways, Will Oakes and John Bastian, to endless guff about it working for Saints and Wigan that ignores all wider context. It’s been a lot, especially given the overall return.
Here’s a little trip back 15 years in time that might raise some rueful and melancholic smiles (including talk of a hot prospect called Richie Myler)

Equally though, we’ve heard all the golden generation stuff from your side before. And that when we sign veterans it blocks pathways, whereas yours always seem to provide invaluable experience that the youngsters can learn from.

Is it just me or did the very first camera angle then show Lewis lose control of the ball from the perfect angle, and then the video ref never went back to that angle once
