did I say it was all down to him. It’s down to our recruitment being poor and being well under the cap. I have a downer on him because imo he’s not good enough. Entitled to my opinion which it seems many share about him.

I think people are saying lane isn't the greatest and never will be. But we are asking this team to leave nothing on the pitch. Certainly lane hasn't done that. The kid isn't a world beater and I think we need better. But ATM hes getting stuck in and doing his best to his ability.

Right, our other back up 2nd rows. Competition is good. Stavely was great last week but Severs isn't fully fit yet. If those two move ahead of Lane in the pecking order then we are gonna need another scapegoat.

Exactly this, we can't be accepting mediocracy, maybe Lane had a better game than a few games last season, but he was still average at best, granted he made a lot of tackles against Warrington (mainly as he played hooker for a spell), but as you say, was responsible for the first try, in which he was tackling a 19 year old halfback. I want more from our forwards than a few tackles too, I want them to be making makes, making meters after contact and offloading, he has done none of these this season. Both him and Ockunbor are under pressure to perform.

People are saying that they're entitled to an opinion, and that's quite true. However Tony Smith is also entitled to an opinion and with all due respect his opinion is worth more than anyone on here.
