Quote: Chris71 "The RFL, MRP and Officials have backed themselves into a corner and only have 3 options
1. Circle their wagons and double down and just add further insult to the sport & its stakeholders
2. Front up and be honest admit they’ve dropped an almighty clanger out things right.
3. Just bury their head in the sand, ignore the issue, quietly give no further bans, sweeping it under the carpet in the hope it’ll go away.
Chances are we’ll either see option 1 or 3 either way the action taken will be to cover their own backs rather than what’s best for the sport.'"
I’d go for Option 3.
They take a tough stance at the start of each season, but dilute it down within weeks. If something’s wrong is Week 1 it should be wrong in Week 21. However, the RFL never operates like that.
