Any of the real experts who know their stuff from the city fraternity will tell you unequivocally that that the stadium playing surface will be absolutely fine until after the Wigan friendly then it will be unplayable!!!!

Perfect game, tough game in one they showed create character.
Balmforth a class above, shame he got injured first half, but his 2nd spell was excellent. Impressed with Jebson and Charles too.
Struggled first half against there pack, which had alot of experience.
Need to keep an eye on Jamie Gill from Bradford.
Fair too many penalties against both sides, hope this isn't the way the game is going.

Seems some good character in the youngsters would have being easy to shy away but instead fought till the end.
Something the first team hasnt done for seasons.

Well done to the kids…a battering was looking likely but they rolled their sleeves up and got stuck in and only lost by a last kick of game miss.It a good start as well to Cummins reign as academy coach and Grix as assistant to 1st team if he had any input.I reckon a sprinkling of 1st team and reserves V Donny and 1st team v Wigan.
