Quote: GrahamBray "Was that game against Riley High, we played Biggin and Ged Dunn was the ref, insisted we called him sir and was very strict , cos if it was I know who nicked 'em, the same lad did a similar thing when we played South Hunsley, got the CID involved and we were all sworn to silence, under pain of a proper good smacking. A lad called Joskin, at the time, and another who shall remain nameless, as he is no longer with us.'"
No. Boots were nicked after a games session at Branny High. Ged Dunn was the games master but I'd like to make it clear to his family if they are reading this it couldn't have been him.
The suspect was charged but the CPS had to drop the case due to lack of evidence. My burgeoning RL career ended so I took up snooker instead. Unfortunately I had my cue nicked at Lambwath hall snooker club but that's another story.
