| Quote Steve0="Steve0"Thing is, it's some of the smaller / worse ones that are staying for next year, Cator, Lane, Fash, Brown...all lacking size and all will be called on at some point or playing most weeks'"
The same four have been in all season and everybody knows they are just not big enough, Fash is a tryer, Cator is a tackler, Brown pretty anonymous and Lane just the same. Lovudua has never done anything and we need a good clear out. We have persevered with too many ordinary players for too long.

| Quote hull2524="hull2524"At least your team won tonight monaire. Know doubt you will be telling all what a great team and coach they have. Hope your socks are ready

Compared to us they are a great team, very well coached, very fit, tough defence and like it or not good to watch.
Unfortuneatly they are called Hull Kingston Rovers and its galling to see them doing so well but at the moment they are miles ahead of us
On thing i would say to Tony Smith is forget this layed back easy build up pre season approach and do what Willie Peters did at HKR and get them fitter in pre season than they have ever been

| Fash is okay as your 4th prop with no other small middles with him. Cator offers nothing in attack. Brown, will he ever be a regular? Lane, woeful, worse now than we he first come on the scene

| I like Brown, with a bigger pack around him next year and a better pre season, he could have a great year.

He needs to either back Smith with some cash or come out and tell the truth that we can't afford the full cap and we are building from the ground up.

I'd have him at LF next year, only forward will good handling skills, need someone there to play as a link and offers something going forward, Cator offers nothing
Sao, Ese'ese, Pele and Ashworth the props.

| I think next year we need to look at releasing Cator, Lane and Carlos. Fash fine as a back up for work rate

| Quote hull2524="hull2524"We are in a really bad spot . But I still believe Smith is the man to turn things round. For sure next year is massive. But it's Smith first year with a team he's moulding. Of course we could all stop going and then we'd have no club. Be like monaire who just whines like a slapped a rse and properly never gives a penny to the club. Anyway we are S hite no denying. But always next year
'"
Problem is though moving forward is the current signings announcement with all due respect aren’t exactly awe inspiring. Ese’ese the only one that has genuine credentials. Okunbor & Pele could be hits or misses. Again Tindal & Ashworth aren’t going to get supporters that excited.
We have a big issue with Clifford going and no sign of a like for like replacement on top of Trueman being out until end of Feb at the earliest.
We still have an issue at 9, despite his best efforts this season if we end up going with Houghton as the main 9 next season it’ll be a mistake.
The current squad for next season looks even weaker overall than this seasons poof performers.
With the combination of another embarrassing end of season tali off and the current signings, it’s not going to have a lot of fans itching to go round again.

| Our 3 overseas who are still her next season, Hoy missed over half the season, Tuimavave played just over half the season and Sao missed a third of the season. Wasting so much money. Clifford, who we aren’t replacing, our only very good overseas signing for years.

Unless Smith can pull off a couple of miracle signings of uk players and a top halfback, we won't much better next season.
