Quote: BP1 "I stand to be corrected here if I've got this wrong, but I think we've only won four home play-off games in the SL era?
Think our wins have come against Bradford (2006 to reach the GF), Huddersfield (2007 &12) and Catalans (2013) which is fairly slim pickings to choose from!
Seem to recall the Catalans game in 2013 was played in a torrential downpour in front of what I would describe as a 'sp' crowd (can't remember the attendance). The whole night felt a touch downbeat and that was despite the fact we won!
Either way, it would be nice to see play-off rugby at the stadium once again, in the not too distant future hopefully!!'"
Just 4,970 there that night. I was there!
This was on the back of the dismal nilling at Wembley, a narrow win over Wigan's academy and a home thrashing by Saints. We were in the play offs but realistically had no chance of making Old Trafford.
Compare that to the 16,087 against Bradford in 2006, an actual semi final to get to the Grand Final, played whilst the opening night of Hull Fair was taking place next door.
