I was convinced the club made the Clifford announcement in attempt to lure him out from his hiding place, He must be really hurting.

| Armstrong and Staveley have both had some interest from the NRL, so the fact we have nailed down Nick for a couple of years, and hopefully Kye, is a sign that they will be involved more sooner rather than later

| Quote Chris71="Chris71"That's the danger of frequenting establishments such as Hop Pole, especially after its sy refit

I would tend to think any player nearing the 30 mark age wise is unlikely based on what TS has previously in terms of wanting younger players than players reaching the end of their careers.'"
Yeah and I'd think we would be looking at younger too, given the hard minutes of those older NRL players have done in their careers, in a harder league; they do tend to be physically shot to bits in the forwards, with some notable exceptions like Mini, McQueen and Menzies

| Quote Hasbag="Hasbag"Shaw reckons Kye Armstrong attracted some interest from the NRL but it hasn't really progressed. Sounds like he could be a huge talent if the NRL were looking.'" I'm a massive fan of Armstrong, he's a really impressive young kid. No pressure on him but with his body shape and the way he plays the link man role in the middle it's hard to not think of Isaah Yeo. With a good preseason and putting on some more kgs I'd like to see him spend time in the Championship playing against blokes for a while instead of kids his own age.

| That has to be the plan for a lot of them next year. Get some kg's put on in the close season, players like Manoa, Martin, Barron, Sully, Laidlaw, Armstrong, Jebson, Severs, and getting them playing some Championship Rugby

| Leeds getting closer to Levi. The raiders currently have 4 hookers on their books.
It would be brave for them to allow both Levi and Woolford to go unless they think they’ve got a class youth prospect.

| Laidlaw gone to Keighley on loan until the end of the season, its good that we're getting them gametime in the championship, just wish it was for teams that aren't getting tanked every week.

| Of all the Hull young prospects, not including Litten, who is almost established, I think Armstrong, Staveley and Jebson will be the three that go on to good things with us. The others may well also make it, but when I have seen the three I mention, you can tell they have it, With Smith's guidance we could soon have the core of a team of Hull first players, although we need to be patient ,as success hungry fans. The answer is so obviously in how we nurture the talent we have coming through, rather than importing players. As good as Clifford has been for us, it is undeniably a blow; to lose him. We must now recruit a new playmaker , effectively start again with two thirds of a new spine, and there must also be doubts on Hoy's future, as he and Clifford were good friends, the lure of a return home could prove tempting, if he has the chance to go back, although he does look like he's now enjoying the UK a bit more of late .I actually feel better about the club and the journey to come than I have in years and there is nothing better than seeing Hull lads winning. Players like Yeaman, Horne, King, and latterly Tag and Houghton know what that means to the fans and it's special.

| Quote Steve0="Steve0"The article about TV rights says sky have offered a similar amount again, which is disappointing given they cut it from the previous TV deal, the competition between sky, TNT and DAZN can only be a good thing for the sport though! Good work from IMG in making it happen'"
Cant see us and several other S/L clubs announcing any major signings until they know exactly how much they will get from TV rights

| Quote Chris71="Chris71"The more interested parties there are the better for the sport in hopefully improving the money paid for TV rights but also improving the sports profile.
SKY for too long have had the sport by the balls and too much of their own way in terms of the amounts offered not helped by the ineptitude of the RFL not being capable of selling the sport well.
The product that SKY give the viewers is pretty poor by their own standards when compared to other sports they show with very little other than the live game to offer or entertain viewers. Ch4 have outdone SKY and done a far better job in such a very short space of time with their coverage.'"
Hopefully if Sky are left out it will do away with Thursday games
