I get your point and that may be the case but the club do have history in regards keeping signings quiet until late on nearer renewal time especially if they’re a top quality signing. I can see merits fir announcing tactically for maximum impact but also sometimes think the early you announce the more you wet the appetite.
The club do seem more of a closed shop in terms of communication these days and something Pete alluded too on quite a few occasions in his Dentist Diary.
Whether that’s intentional or simply because they don’t have enough people to spend more time on communications or that it’s all done via web and social media I don’t know.
One thing is for sure that the club have known for a long enough period what recruitment is required, the quality needed and the areas needed. It’s something they have to get right now more than ever before so hopefully there is a patient plan that is well underway and on track that will come to fruition.
The time to really worry is if we still have little news coming up to September/October.
