If you're remotely capable of being subjective, Reece Lynne is not "crap". Corey Hall had you all wetting yourselves, but although he has the potential to be - he's currently not a superior player. It's hard to get excited about a threequarters once they're over 30, but a solid, strong England knights player is a decent bit of business. We've already brought through our stand out academy back, and I don't think his place in the squad will be challenged by the capture of Lynne.

| NRL merry go around is starting, Dolphins using up some big cap on Averillo (and also Farnworth) and a few clubs looking at Lam, hopefully they will leave Clifford alone for the next season.

Seen a few rumours last night about Clifford to the Dolphins but just can't see it. If they sign another half it'll be a rep player or someone close.
I think we'll have him for this season and next.

Me too, they already have really good options for 1,6 and 7, not sure where they will all fit in, not sure Clifford would get a start there.

I think there is always going to be interest in player like Clifford back in the NRL we can't escape that fact. The thing for me is that he is currently playing every week and in a role that dictates/directs a team around and doing well and improving. If he were to go back now or even next season I think he's unlikely to get that back in the NRL straight away as a number 1 half, and would likely end up yo-yoing in and out of first grade.

They chased hard for Munster in the off season. If the Dolphins go for a spine player it'll be someone of his ilk.
I think he'll be better off playing at least 2 season here before going back. He'll need to be careful which club he picks too.

The Dolphins spine is actually not bad, the young half they have (can't remember his name) is growing with each game and I can only assume the lure would be playing under Bennett, if he's interested in Clifford. Manly have Schuster back, the only club that may want him may be Canberra, with Wighton off to Souths, Fogarty isn't really pulling up trees for them, so Ricky Stuart maybe in for a half. As long as Croft and Lam play as well as they have been for their clubs, Clifford may well be down the pecking order for an NRL berth, which would suit us without doubt and allow our recruitment to be a bit more measured, hopefully.

Thats him, looks to be a really decent player with a touch of flair to his game and quite pacey too.

| Jorge Taufua released with immediate affect by Wakefield so he can take up an opportunity elsewhere. Can’t say I know anything about him, is he any good?

Seemed steady, don't think he's scored this season. He was very good out of yardage against us a couple of weeks ago but can't really recall noticing him when wakey play.
