Just think it’s poor form by all involved and as I say not the sort of attitude that I’d like in a player.

Is it?? I hear the loyalty card trotted out from fans, probably done it myself, but where is the loyalty when fans are desperate for a club to 'get rid' of an underperforming player. were any on here criticising the club for not being loyal to Evans or even Reynolds before him, they'd shown faith in the club by coming half way around the world for it not to work out.
This isn;t a dig at Hull more one at fans of all clubs who want the players who are doing well to show loyalty and stay regardless of what else is on offer, yet want underperforming players to just leave, be paid off or retire gracefully..

| I’d be concerned paying a 6 figure fee for someone who’s had half a good season. Joeys first 6 months were red hot, now he can’t get into the side.
I’d offer them a nominal fee and players, helps them financially and gives them a player to build with.
Issue is I’m not really sure who we could offer. If browns not rated he would be a good signing but I’d hang on to him. Try swap Jordan Lane, Gardner and like 40/50k or something
I see Dupree at Warrington next year.

| Rovers can probably afford to take a risk on him, not sure we could, as someone said earlier, if we where going to pay a fee, then I would rather spend it on a more impactful player, someone who will play more minutes or play a more pivotal position.
Still think our long term strategy will pay off, rather than sort time signings, just a couple more years.
I've said before, but if we can't make some very good SL players out the current crop, we don't deserve to be challenging.

| Only Wakey players I'd be looking at is Sam Eseh and maybe Jai Whitbread. I still think if Wakey can pull a win from somewhere Cas could collapse. The next Wakey- Cas game could be very interesting.

| Salford have been very clever in tying up players to long term contracts in order to extract transfer fees, They have produced and lost good players in the past and got little or nothing in return. Inthink they are being very clever with Dupree in rejecting Rovers offers they are effectively putting him on the market to the highest bidder which may or maynot be kr. WELL DONE SALFORD

| Quote HullKR21="HullKR21"Salford are on the verge of going pop, who in the right mind would want to have their long term future at the club? Rovers have been more than fair in offering a big transfer fee. Pulling power and cash to wipe our back sides with.'"
What pulling power? Potential, granted, but Salford have contested two major finals and play off semi final, since your last final, so the only thing on offer is what you may achieve, or are willing to pay him. Admittedly, the future is looking bright for Rovers, but even the best squads need to gel and , crucially, avoid injury to their playmakers, so I don't think there is any more to this than financial considerations. Rovers will have offered a significant salary upgrade , probably. I don't blame any player wanting to better their pay, it is a short career, but if the deal doesn't come off, he isn't going to be flavour of the month in the Salford camp and then there's the location.; Josh Jones, was on paper, as good a signing, but we all know how that one went.

| The issue Rovers will have going forward with these signings, is that they will be very top heavy on the salary cap, resulting in less squad depth. You have to pay more to bring a player to the club than you pay an academy squad player, resulting in a strong 17/18 players, but then your depth won't be up to much. They have to be careful with how they build. Saints/Wigan/Warrington seem to have the correct balance, of first team academy graduates and signings from elsewhere

| Saints/Wigan/Warrington have more resource. Fair enough they do a decent job of using it efficiently as well, but the resource is a pre-requisite. Efficiency by itself will soon hit a ceiling.
If we have more resource than in the past that is potentially a game changer. The cap has a degree of elasticity. Also paying fees mean you can sign contracted players who have developed to a point where their earnings no longer reflect their value and still get them on a lower wage than you would in an open market. Transfer fees don’t count on the cap, so that is a fairly major cap efficiency.

| Yet another thread derail …
Just to sum this up.
The same day food bank charity on Preston Road appeal for local businesses help.
Kr make it known they are enticing a contracted player with a 6 figure sum
No doubt unsettling the player and the club too.
kr posters on here will not agree but it just shows again how little class kr have.
Lets see what happens if they do sign Dupree , they will invite fans to have their pictures taken with them for a fiver..
