Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

It's possibly a big part of when we get Injurys we capitulate so badly. I honestly can't believe Hodgsons even made that comment and openly admitted it'"
He didn't - he was referring to the three loan players. Reading clearly not one of your strong points.

| Nrl a joy to watch - athleticism, skill & commitment week after week.
Super league lost its way - standards slipping year on year, not helped by covid, lack of funding, can’t watch it in comparison to nrl, boring style of play from most teams with really low skill levels.
Not sure how we improve - youth is the answer but our top prospects are being targeted by nrl, they will earn way more money over there & compete on a much bigger scale allied to the lifestyle, weather etc.
Officiating really poor as is the tribunal, the bunker & captains challenge work like clockwork over there, our alternate is a joke - makes me wince every time.

To think some people want the league to expand to 14 teams, can you imagine the standard of players that will be playing at the top level if that happens

Exactly how I feel
Although I do feel for refs a little as too many players are becoming like footballers and cheating or feigning injury to try and win penalties

To be fair I think that's down to the the way the game is being officiated and the poor standard plus incidents like Parcell milking tackles for all it's worth and the decisions coming from the stands rather than the on field match officials. I believe the standard of the officials has been poorer and on a decline since they went pro and even more so under the tutelage of Ganson.

Non-televised games are always more enjoyable for this reason, players have started adjusting their behaviour knowing the VR will step in for any contact and also try to deliberately get obstructed so the VR will rule out tries.
