We still had chances but blew every opportunity with basic errors. The lack of desire though it my biggest problem, I don't think one of the FC boys could have claimed to have given 100%. Really awful game, hopefully only three games left as qualifying for the playoffs would be a travesty.
Really worried about 2022, most of these players have been resigned so just cannot see it being any better. Sure we've been disrupted with Covid and injuries but so have every other club in the league. I'll be renewing my pass but very underwhelmed about prospects.'"
Your post sums it up for me. Yes covid has had an impact no one has doubted that but we are not the only team to have suffered from covid related issues or injuries. As you say we had ample opportunity in the game but every time we shot ourselves in the foot either due to poor handling and ball retention on the 1st or 2nd tackle or gave away a set restart of penalty which seems to be a regular theme.
What seems to be apparent is that yet again this is another season that as we get near the end of the season the performances drop off significantly as is the manner of defeat and this is a long running theme and not an isolated occurrence or peculiar to this season nor is the poor home form.
