Quote: Dave K. "Interesting most I've read on social media last night was how happy and proud Rovers fans were, they should be fuming with that performance and were only let back in the game due to Catalans having only 3 weeks pre season. They wont get a better chance to win that game with the players out and lack of pre season. Rovers seem to have recruited well, but they seem to have this mental problem, I'm really not convinced by Tony Smith either, looks tactically poor and his game plan seems to revolve around throwing the ball around wildly, selection is weird also, Parcel is streets ahead of Litten but he starts, also fancy making someone vice captain and the putting him on the bench, after being one of Rovers best players last season.'"
Has Smith really improved Rovers since Sheens was sacked? Leaving Parcell on the bench for so long was bewildering. Sims had next to no impact and Vete was absolutely knackered after a few minutes. No wonder the size of him. I can't think of an import who has arrived in a worse condition than he has.
Positives for Catalans and the game as a whole was the number French players who impressed last night.
