In Hodgson's interview he alluded to the fact that he thought Jake Connor had possibly found his position at full back, if that is what he was saying, and it's only my interpretation of what he said. Then, if we sign a young back up, that suggests he doesn't see Wynne as good enough.

I agree, my point is that his appointment has probably been decided at least a couple of weeks, so I would have thought that IF we are making signings he would be aware and having his say. As I said, just my take on what he said in interview about Connor (Jake) at full back.
The ashall bolt signing may have been in the final stages, and Hodgson may have pulled it as he wants Jake at full back. Doesnt seem like a Hodgson signing to me.....who would you like to provide depth in the backs.....eerrrmmm get me Ashall-Bolt please
