| Quote The Camels Hump="The Camels Hump"“People on here seem to think that if we want him we'll get him. Same with players. If only it were that simple”
This is a nail on the head moment. Exactly, and why would Ian Watson, Daryl Powell etc want to come ? It’s a big enough job to take on before you start ridding the team / club of the ingrained attitude issues. I think the players fall into the trap that some fans do, ‘we’re Hull FC, we get what we want when we want’. Someone earlier mentioned Fonou’s hair, I personally think it’s an ego thing, ‘look at me, they paid big bucks for me, I’m special’ Another example I’m not comfortable with is, and this is going to be controversial, Ellis saying “I thought we’d be the team to put fifty plus points on a team” ... why ? I think team, fans, coaches, whoever need a reality check and bringing back down to Earth. This whole attitude of ‘it’s alright to be late, turning up for meetings late etc’ that Last alluded to also makes me think there’s a big ego attitude that needs stamping out - I’m assuming Shauls bleached hair is some sort of fine ? So he broke the rules already and basically stuck two fingers up to Last and his new regime
Pre the announcement that half the team have got COVID earlier this evening, they would beat Cas handsomely and that would paper over the cracks until the next big defeat. And this whole Covid announcement, has someone blatantly broken rules (another ‘I’m invincible and can do what I like’ example) ? Out drinking in a COVID hot spot after the match ?
This ramifications of this announcement could have an impact of the reputation of the club. What’s the answer ? Who knows

Quote 48756c6c20 524c4643="48756c6c20 524c4643"How much has AP actually 'lost'? The money from season ticket holders/memberships and shirt sales was pretty much already in the company coffers, money from sponsors, money from SKY.
We get no money from the concession stands so the only income is the walk ups plus some limited shirt/garment sales, the amount is therefore the net amount after VAT for ticket sales and the limited number of garment/shirt sales.
How much per 'walk up' ticket sale, as a net amount after VAT does the club receive and how many tickets/bums on seats will the club have 'lost' this season?
I'd really like to know how you worked out these 'millions' and how you had access to the clubs accounts? .
Also AP/Hull have, as with other SL clubs being allowed to apply for funding from the government via the RFL, or had you forgotten about that?
ATEOTD if Pearson has made errors that have cost him, that's on him, no-one else, sure the current climate has an impact but not how much you're imagining it is and there's financial help available.
To have a chance to be in a better financial position, the owner of the business needs to employ the right people, needs to invest money in times when things are not as good as they have been, to redress his errors to have a better chance of success, otherwise the business will fail, at best stagnate.'"
Average attendance 11k, passholder 8k, so walkups = 3k, 10 home games lost, that's 30k, one is a derby so that makes it 38k, £20 per head = £760,000.
Next year's sky deal reduced by £250000, so there's a million for starters.

Even if your estimated walk ups are correct the average price is well below £20 a head, that's before deductions, actual take home from walk-ups is likely less than half of what you've quoted there. Plus the money we're losing there, we are saving by not opening the stadium.
Add to that we have had zero staff costs for a number of months and will continue to have reduced staff costs for the coming months.
The article has no relevance to us, Leeds are an entirely different proposition, their costs are higher as they have a ground to maintain and they're losing out on significantly hospitality revenue, that's even without the significant sums they make hiring the facilities out during the week.

But it highlights the scale of the problem, some people on here (well one person) seem to think the financial difficulties are down to bad management, and Coronavirus should have been treated like any other seasonal 'flu.
And you can probably add a reduction in pass sales next year (it would have normally been a significant income stream in a couple of months time) of 2k, say, adding up to as much as £500k.

| Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"As opposed to sweating all over each other for hours a week training and on match day.'"
That’s not the point Mrs B. If the players remain in their bubble and all are coronavirus free then no matter of the amount of physical contact they’ll be ok. It’s going to a pub and being around others who are outside of their bubble and do not know whether they are carriers or not. Pubs have poor ventilation and those that have extractor fans, if there working, they were fitted when people were allowed to smoke inside, suck air to the outside and whilst doing so particles move freely through their draw. If your standing in line with the fans draw your going to get a lungful of all airborne viruses.
NRL have a strict bubble policy. Sadly, here in the UK we behave as though were all untouchable.

Are the NRL players all living together and not seeing their families through their season?.. Are they being banned from leaving their homes during 'off' time?
If not, then your argument is pointless. Fact is, unless you imprison the players together for the season's length, then there will always be a chance they will pick up the virus from somewhere.

Quote Airlie Street="Airlie Street"COVID hotspot? There are more cases per capita in Hull than Leeds?'"
Sorry but your incorrect! Most of the current concern for places with high cases and looking at facing closure are in West Yorkshire. See https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/health/ ... es-2938878
And then there’s Manchester which isn’t that far away. If there in lockdown do you not think people won’t travel to other areas. This disease is very infectious we just seem to believe we are untouchable and even if some catch it it doesn’t seem to matter to some as the majority will only have mild symptoms but it’s those who are vulnerable we have to be mindful about.

11k average, just lol, don't think so. And as I said, you've forgotten to take off SMCs money AND VAT.
AP/Hull have had this years money already, stop moving the goalposts, we're talking about money now, this season to get a proper coach. net after deductions it's at the most it's a few hundred thou for this year if you're being generous. AP can apply for funding from the RFL whom have the government money to help the sport.

The funding is a short term fix as it has to be repaid which just makes more problems further down the line.
