Quote: jools "I can’t believe those who are backing the way Pearson did that! Never had a great deal of respect for him since the Huddersfield debacle but this leaves him with zero.
To do it like that without preparing, without allowing a coach who has won the club silverware the dignity of leaving the stadium before announcing it on live tv is a joke. He admitted in the interview the players didn’t even know!
He could have just come out and said, radford had a lot to discuss was in the changing room and he was doing the interview in his stead. Then announced the next day.
Showed a lack of respect to the man for me. and a lack of respect to the players. Top prospective applicants who have other choices will view the way that was done. They will be thinking I don’t want to work for such a *****
Twitter is full of players, ex players, coaches and rugby support staff commenting on it being wrong.
Next Thursday will be interesting!!!'"
I don't agree, I think as fans we deserved to know, it would have got out anyway.
I don't think there is a person in the city who respects Radford more than Pearson, he has backed him so much over the last few years, I honestley don't think he wanted to do it at all, but the fans pressure and risk of losing money has pushed him into this, which I think is the right one.
Not sure why fans of other clubs are getting so worked up about this one.
Expect a respond on Thursday to be honest, although getting a few bodies back in Sao and Ma'u will help that.
