| Yep the only thing that really surprises me under radders in last few seasons is our ability to mentally not turn up ..ie 45 to nil at magic x2 with saints and huddo . And now we still have the mental breakdowns after 50 mins. The cats game and wakey would have been put away by a strong mental team. I thought radders would be like wane and have a no messing about culture but mental resilience has let us down, and this i find surprising from a man of radders character and stature as a coach.
I want radders to succeed and get us to GF - we know it's the target this season from all the interviews. I don't think Pearson could have backed rads better through some bad years but he must have 2nd thoughts if we are not strong top 4 at end of year with this squad investment ( and coaching salaries up!) . Its not a disaster so far as lost to 3 very strong teams but the Wakey one was concerning !!!. The stats of 9 wins in last 26 games at home is not good enough in any circumstances, but lets give the squad chance to gel - lot of new faces not quite at 100% together yet . I reckon cats , saints and wigan could be in top 4 with us. if cats keep their heads strait it could be their year with squad macca has.

| Quote: R.B.A "In amongst all of the fall out I think it is important to remember that Radders has served your club for the majority of his adult life. Played for you, captained you, coached you. Very successfully too and in decades to come he will be remembered as a legend.
He can't just move away and forget about this, he is a Hull boy and both of his sons are Hull FC players at scholarship and Academy level.
Treat him with the respect that Adam Pearson didn't afford him.'"
All of the above, except the last sentence.
You obviously haven’t heard what Pearson had to say.

Totally agree. Sounds like a civil conversation between the pair, and Pearson has been full of praise. This is from the YP:
https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/r ... tv-2449038
"I went to see Lee straight after the end of the game and we had 10, 15 minutes talking.
"I don't think he was surprised (by the decision). I told him 'I think that's it.'
"And he said 'yes, I agree.' He always said to me he'd know when it was time to go.
"And, looking at it, seven years in one (coaching) job is a long time in any sport especially with the power of social media and the way people are these days.
"He's had a really good innings and we should always remember what he has done for this club; his legacy is winning at Wembley and winning back-to-back Challenge Cups which no one has ever done with Hull.
"But aspects of that performance tonight were unacceptable and he knows that."
"I asked him to tell the players and all the guys first.
"Sky needed an interview so I said I'd handle Sky for him and he said 'great'. That's when I went out to do it. That is as clear as day.
"It wouldn't have made sense to leave it another day. It means now we've got two seasoned coaches - (assistants) Andy Last and Kieron Purtill - going in tomorrow (Friday) starting fresh from tomorrow.
"To have Lee going back in Friday morning to say his 'goodbyes' would have been pointless and to leave it another day, it would have got out in the media.
"This feels the right time to make a change but I want to go on record thanking Lee for his efforts for the club and wish him and his family all the best in the future."

| Last comment on this. Just read Paul Cooke's summary in Hull daily mail. Great piece IMO. If ever I bump into Radford I will shake his hand and tell him Thanks mate
