Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the (Dark) Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."[/size:1gwenaug]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_35230.jpg

At the end of the day we are all fans of this great club and as shown by the posts in this thread everyone is frustrated with the performances and that’s the crux of it all. We are not in Salford position financially and whilst not in the same bracket as St’s or Warrington it doesn’t excuse the poor and inconsistent performances. The players actually want for nothing and I think just a little too cosy with some also seemingly too close to Radford.
For me Radford has to distance himself from the players as in he is no longer ‘one of the boys’ he’s the boss. Sometimes it just seems all too pally pally.
We all want the same thing and that’s for the club to be successful and play decent rugby consistently. I don’t mind getting bear but it’s the manner in which we have been tonked and embarrassed by our own performances rather than the excellence of opposition, that’s what sits uneasy for me.
No doubt we will all still turn up as tomorrow another day but AP & LR have to be aware and switched on to the fact that these swings in performances are starting to turn off the fan base which isn’t a recipe for success either.
If you look at it a different way as a product such as a meal that needs a lot on different ingredients to be top quality you still need a capable and quality chef. Without that you can keep changing the ingredients and occasionally you’ll get lucky and turn out a few decent dishes but you’ll have far more poor/average ones and be very inconsistent.
But with a top chef you’ll get the best out of the ingredients you use and make a far better dish and consistently than someone who is an ok cook.'"
An excellent post Chris that pretty much nails it for a lot of us!
