| having just lost two matches on the bounce i'm not feeling confident right now. SL teams are hitting their straps and we should treat wakefield, salford and huddersfield with respect. having said that, 2nd place is up for grabs and hopefully we can get the wins. i would not like to swap our next three fixtures with warringtons that's for sure

| Warrington have a really tough run in anyway. Throw in the distraction of a cup final and it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they could drop all the way to 4th.
Next two weeks are:
Wire v Saints
Wigan v Rovers
Wakefield v Hull
Wigan v Wire
Hull v Salford
If those games all go to the favourites we will have:
Hull: 32
Warrington: 30
Wigan: 30
Then Warrington will have to pick themselves up after a cup final and put in a big last 3 games to save their top 3 spot.
It's all hypothetical of course. If we knew what was going to happen we wouldn't bother playing the games. But now the cup is gone 2nd has to be the goal. If we end up 4th or 5th then so be it, at least we would still be in. But top 3 is so important in this structure.

Great post. "If Austin is finished so are we." A quote from the Wire boards. Together with suspensions and the cup final distraction I agree they could fall as low as 4th.
We need to take care of Wakey, Hudds and Salford and we'll be in an excellent position.
Starting to think this could be our year for a tilt at a place in the GF.

Warrington have also lost Austin for a few weeks and will have several suspensions following their game at Catalan.
Wigan can be the team to nick second or third from us
