As a back up I think he is a good option, gives us the chance to see if he can cut it at the top level before Houghton retires.
I could see Houghton doing some game time at 13 next year.'"
We need another established hooker, in one game when DH was injured Washy and Hadley played there and the distribution from dummy half was abismal. With the big money signings a low key player would probably be all we could hope for tbf

| I like Cunningham to be honest. Offers cover at both half back and hooker. I think he’s decent as well. Better than Litten IMO.

Danny's brain isn't quick enough to play 13, he is a solid defensive hooker, he is not Richard Swain imho.

Depends what you want from your 13, most teams now dont play with a old fashioned 13.
What Houghton does with the ball in hand is massively underrated and most only notice when he doesn't play.
Had some spells at 13, when he has played there.

you must be watching a different game, Houghton is not creative, he's a tackle machine. He certainly isn't a 13.

| James Cunningham has improvement in him, he has done very well at London in difficult circumstances, he’s also had a measure of success in the halves.
He is a little dynamo with a little bit of pace, but a need to up his defence before possibly being linked as a stand in or replacement for Danny, then again I’m struggling to think who could do this job, Danny is almost irreplaceable.

| Question is what do we need or what are we looking for regarding hooker?
For me currently no one will shift Danny from the No.9 spot for the next couple of seasons. So we are not needing a like for like replacement currently. However we need to be able to spell him in games or rest him so need adequate cover.
Litten for me was ideal for that role but he wants more chance to play 1st team rugby regularly and you have to respect that. However it leaves us short at 9 should anything happen to DH.
We aren't going to sign a top class hooker just as cover so Cunningham would make sense both ability and salary cap wise.

| How do people rate Jordan Webster?
He played for England back in spring and has looked okay in the reserves.
