I know my wishes are a bit eutopian but as a club and a fan base we are hungry for sucess. Whenever we have won a cup in the past we have failed to kick on. I just hope it doesn't happen again. All of the above are solid views I can't argue with. The inconsistency is the main cause of doubt and we have been tagged by the whole competition as the Jekyll & Hyde club. I just don't want the wheels to fall off. I'm desperate for us to lift the Super League title.

We're not alone this season with inconsistency,. But of the inconsistent teams, we're doing the best to ride that wave.

Putting out a team with a consistant 17 will help with consistency, which will help with confidence, which will help results.

We lost our first 2 games, we've lost our last 2 games and we've apparently been the most inconsistent team in between. Yet we're in a better position than 9 of the other 11 clubs in the league.

They are the wishes of all 12 clubs and fanbases. I suspect there's a bit of "what we have we hold" in that the last 4 seasons have been amongst our best in a generation, and in the context of a Grand Final success glass ceiling we have more to lose than win. At least we have a Jekyll. Without it we'd be mired in the crappy relegation dogfight.

we will never finish top of the league until we make the kc some sort of fortress.

The beauty of it is, you don't need to finish top of the league to win the grand prize, you just need to still be standing in the final game of the season.

id still rather us finish top,thats the true measure of the champion team ,not finishing 5th and winning a couple of knockout games at end of season.we have one knockout trophy,no need for two.

There is not enough importance about finishing top of the league either by fans or the RFL in terms of money for the winners.
To make it meaningful the top team should automatically be given a place in the grand final and let the other top four teams play off for the other final place.

The problem with doing it that way, is that whoever finishes top, would then have a three week break, which may be more of a disadvantage than the current system.

But that isn't the measure though, is it?

Every club knows the rules at the start of the season on how the grand prize is won.

If a sprinter wins every race of the season, with ease, but fails to win the Olympic final, then they are not the Olympic champion.
