I know you say Houghton is only 30 but surely you can’t flog him to death for 80mins doing 60 tackles a game for the next 5 yrs even he might need spelling from time to time

Over the years we have had players with unquestionable abiloty but just lacked the application, a shame, but that is just how it seems to unfold with some players.
