… I don't think it's as easy as some people think to get out of the army. It's up to the them to allow you to leave, based on lots of factors. If he was the only soldier in the army who could map read, then it's unlikely they'd let him go. If they'd spent a fortune on his particular training, the same applies.

Seems to be a flexible arrangement with the Army but i suppose Ratu will want to see his time out with the Army to qualify for a pension.
