| Quote Hbomb82="Hbomb82"Fariamo didn't play many games before he signed. Kane Evans doesn't seem to be rated highly, not too keen on him potentially coming.'"
Evans was awesome and raw when he first started playing for Roosters, proper enforcer in the mould of Watts, maybe he has gone off the boil a bit. I haven't watched much NRL for a few years but was surprised that he seems to have fallen down in the pecking order in his current team.

Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"Ligi has 1 appearance for Samoa according to Wikipedia - would that suffice?'"
I've never understood who gets permits and who doesn't.
This comment in the NZ press is what I'm working from....
Quote Mrs BaristaPlaying for a nation at a World Cup would help get a work permit, but Sao's only test for Samoa was last year and that's unlikely to count for anything under the current rules.
It's a similar situation for Blake Ayshford, who was eyeing a move to Hull Kingston Rovers this year, but he didn't feature in any NRL games last season, so couldn't get a work permit.'"

Sounds like the affordable sort of NRL player Super League, especially FC could be looking for.

That's a shame. I like the sound of Manu Ma'u personally, a good redemption story, but looks like he'd struggle on the visa front.

He wouldn’t be speaking to uk clubs if he didn’t think he could get a visa.

That's what we thought about Michael Crocker.

Few years since.
Ma’u is 31 by the end of the season, if he signs with a SL club most NRL clubs would have filled their rosters by the time his visa would come through. There’s no way his agent wouldn’t be doing due diligence. Could cost him thousands.

@AaronBower
New Zealand Warriors forward Ligi Sao is the latest NRL player to have been offered to Super League clubs ahead of 2020.
The prop, who is out-of-contract at the end of this season, has attracted the attention of several Super League clubs.'"

Type in "Kane Evans" into the searchbox on the Parramatta forum - they ALL want rid of him. Definitely the worst one we've been linked with.

| Quote ccs="ccs"… the ruling is (supposed to be) 50% of games over the last 2 seasons, and international matches also have a bearing on the outcome.
Hastings played 28 NRL games in 2016/17 and the start of 2018, but certainly didn't play 50% of games in the last 24 months of his contract (which was terminated in June 2018). Maybe they use a Duckworth Lewis Method to overcome any shortfall in games.'"
I’m no expert on the NRL, but am sure I read if a club pays £100,000
or more, the 50% playing rule, is reduced to 20%. We’ve gone crazy with rumours this season.
I know he’s out of form & favour, but if we are looking for a prop, Seb Ikihifo at Huddersfield looked devastating in some of their matches last season.
