I see your point, but the I'd worry about him, Logan and Harris defending out wide against the big Catalan players.

Real tough ask this one.

That's 31 players used so far this season, plus Harris and possibly Buchanan.

Makes you wonder who'd have been playing if the squad had been significantly smaller.

id go with that squad too, we've seen v warrington and saints what happens when thompson is played in the centres

give buchanan his chance, who knows, he may do a connor wynne/jack brown and have a stormer

We can still make a pretty good 17 out of it though. Obviously we don't know how Buchanon will go, but the rest of the backline is pretty good. Missing Kelly and Sneyd is a big blow, but any half back pairing that has Connor in it is going to be decent. The pack is still as strong as we have had for a while. I wouldn't shuffle everyone around or play guys out of position. Just give the youngsters a chance, it worked the last time we played Catalans.

We still have to fancy we can win it given Catalans poor away record.

Buchanan has been playing well at Doncaster and in such a depleted squad deserves his chance.
One thing he does have is pace.

Also Thompson needs to really up his game.Defence is poor and is so easy to tackle for the opposition.
I thought he would be a good utility player to have around again but seems to have gone backwards.
Can see him been released end of the season if we can find him a club

Give Buchanan a go in the centres, been getting good reviews for reserves and Doncaster. Thompson had enough chances at centre to know he’s not good enough there.
